Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer is proud to celebrate two players who have recently earned international recognition with call-ups to their respective national teams, continuing the club’s tradition of developing players capable of competing on the global stage.
Wes Wolfley: United States U15 National Team

MLS NEXT Homegrown defender Wes Wolfley has been called up to the U15 U.S. National Team, marking another milestone in his rapidly progressing career.
Wolfley currently plays for our MLS NEXT Homegrown U16 team and recently signed a USL Academy Contract with the Phoenix Rising FC professional team. The agreement allows him to train and compete with the professional side while maintaining his NCAA college eligibility.
The 2011-born center back has already spent time with the Phoenix Rising first team during preseason, gaining valuable experience in a professional environment as he continues his development.
Wolfley has long been identified as one of the top young defenders in his age group and previously participated in U.S. Soccer Talent Identification programs, highlighting his standing among the country’s elite prospects.
His latest national team call-up reflects both his individual growth and the strength of Phoenix Rising’s professional pathway for young players.
Tovah Teuila Auva’a: Samoa U15 National Team

On the girls’ side, Tovah Teuila Avua’a has been called up to represent the Samoa U15 Women’s National Team.
Auva’a represented Samoa this past summer during the Oceania U16 Women’s Championship qualifiers, where she helped her country qualify for the upcoming FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco.
The Samoa youth national team made history by securing qualification for the tournament, and Auva’a played an important role in the team’s journey through the regional competition.
Her selection highlights the global reach of the Phoenix Rising player development pathway, with players now representing both the United States and international federations across the world.
A Global Pathway
From MLS Next competition to international tournaments and the professional game, Phoenix Rising FC continues to provide opportunities for players to pursue the highest levels of the sport.
Wolfley and Auva’a’s national team call-ups are another example of the club’s commitment to developing players capable of competing on the international stage.
Phoenix Rising FC congratulates Wes and Tovah on this incredible achievement and wishes them the best as they represent their countries.
