The PRFC Fall Recreational Program is a community based, non-coed soccer program for boys and girls in PreK through 8th grade. Teams are formed by ‘pure grade level’ teams.
Game Fields
Games are played on Saturdays between 7:30am and 6:00pm on City of Scottsdale fields:
- PreK and Kindergarteners play primarily at: Thunderbird Park
- 1st graders and older play primarily at: Mountain View Park / Cochise Elementary School
Team Practice
Practice days, times and locations are determined by the volunteer parent coach. Once coaches receive their rosters they will communicate this information to families. Note: we try to form ‘neighborhood’ teams so typically teams will practice close to where players reside.
Registration
Regular registration runs through August 15; a wait list is created after August 15. Any registrations received August 16 through September 30 are placed on the wait list and players will be placed on a team on a first-come, first-served basis as openings are available. Players who sign-up in the wait list period will be required to pay wait-list pricing.
Uniform Ordering
All recreational players order their uniform online, which is then delivered directly to you.
The Rec uniform package includes two jerseys (White-home & Red-away), black shorts and black socks.
| Registration Period | Dates | Registration Cost | Uniform Cost |
| Regular Registration | Through August 15th | $99.00 | $45 |
| Wait List Period | August 16th Through October 1st | $149.00 | $45 |
Can I help?
As a volunteer-based organization we are always in need of coaches. As you register your player, please sign up to coach if you can. Soccer is a simple game to coach for teams of this age. We need your help to provide this great experience for our young soccer players. Thank you to all past, present and future coaches who volunteer their valuable time!
PLEASE NOTE: Our Recreational and Competitive Soccer Programs are intended to be mutually exclusive: Competitive Program players play for the Competitive Program and cannot also register for the Recreational Program. Likewise, Recreational Program players cannot also register and play for the Competitive Program.

PRFCYS Recreational Fall Program is a pure grade / gender soccer program for players in preschool through 8th grade. Nearly all children are best served by playing soccer in their proper grade / gender group for reasons of safety and skills development.
The Board of Directors at PRFCYS may request proof of grade and / or age to be established. Failure to respond to such request can result in the immediate suspension of the player involved. A Discipline and Rules Committee Hearing may be convened on the matter.
Playing Down
No child at PRFCYS will be considered to play in a division younger than their established grade without a written request from a licensed medical doctor. The PRFCYS BOD VP of the Recreational Program must receive a written request from a parent, prior to team formation, with a doctor’s note attached. The Director or the Director’s designee will evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis, although it is not the clubs intent to allow children to “play down” a division.
Playing Up
Siblings one year apart in age / grade are eligible to participate on the same team. In this scenario, the younger sibling would “play up” in order to participate with their older sibling. Other than this, no child in the PRFCYS Recreational Program may play in an older division.
PRFC Youth Soccer Recreational Program’s Volunteer Coaching:
Volunteer coaches indicate their interest in coaching during their player’s registration. If you become interested in coaching a team after your player registers, please send an email to scottsdalerecreation@prfcyouthsoccer.com with your request or for additional information.
The PRFC Youth Soccer Recreational Program will collect all coach’s names and form teams based on the coaches who have volunteered. Coaches cannot request players but players, during registration, can request a coach. A coach’s player is automatically assigned to the coach’s team. Historically, nearly all individuals who have volunteered to coach are selected to coach a team.
Practice Goals for Sale.
Coaches can purchase PUGG goals at a reduced cost of $80.00. These goals can be purchased during equipment pickup. To see what the PUGG practice goal looks like, click here. It is the 6 foot goal pair in a carry bag that we are making available.
Each season all volunteer coaches are provided with equipment to keep including cones, pinnies, a ball, a coaches shirt.
