At Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer, we are committed to supporting our players not only on the field but also in preparing them for life beyond youth soccer. Our College Advisory Program (CAP) serves as a comprehensive guide for student-athletes and their families, ensuring they navigate the college recruitment process with confidence and ease.

CAP advisors offer personalized support to players and families, covering a range of aspects from understanding eligibility requirements to building highlight reels and navigating scholarship opportunities. Through one-on-one meetings, advisors guide players and families through the process, ensuring clarity, structure, and achievability at every step, from freshman year planning to senior-year commitments.

Meet Our College Advisory Leaders

• Tibor Pelle: As the Director of the College Advisory Program, Tibor oversees club-wide programs that ensure every player has access to the resources they need to play soccer at the next level. With specific responsibility over boys programs in MLS, National League, Scottsdale, and SE Valley regions, he leverages PRFC’s national network of college coaches to give our players key advantages during the college recruiting process.
• Meggan Eckert: Meggan, serving as the CAP Coordinator for ECNL, ECNL-RL, NL Premier 1 girls, and Scottsdale and Southeast Valley girls, also coaches within the ECNL program. Her unparalleled insights for players pursuing top collegiate pathways stem from her on-field expertise and firsthand recruiting knowledge.
• Josh Gibbs: Josh, the CAP Coordinator for the West Valley girls and boys, brings years of experience in player development and recruitment guidance. Through this role, Josh helps families across the region understand the various collegiate opportunities available. He is also the head coach of Arizona Christian University Women’s soccer program, bringing first hand experience to what it takes to get recruited to the collegiate level.

Our College Advisory Program is designed to equip each Phoenix Rising FC player with the necessary tools and resources to excel in their respective competitions, whether they’re participating in the ECNL, MLS Next, or regional leagues. CAP’s foundation lies in workshops, individual consultations, educational seminars, and direct connections with college programs. These elements collectively create opportunities that align with each player’s academic and athletic aspirations.
