Phoenix Rising FC is proud to congratulate 17 of our female players who were invited to participate in the U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team Identification Center (ID Center) held in Scottsdale, Arizona, this October.
Of the 17 players invited, 16 represent our ECNL Girls program, while Kamryn, represents our MLS NEXT Homegrown program. This recognition highlights the hard work, dedication and continued development of these players as they pursue opportunities at the highest levels of the game.
U.S. Soccer ID Centers are part of the federation’s talent identification process, providing an opportunity for promising young players to train in an environment where they can be evaluated by U.S. Soccer scouts and technical staff. These events bring together talented players from across the region, allowing U.S. Soccer to identify and monitor potential future national team players.
While an invitation to an ID Center is not an official call-up to the U.S. Youth National Team, it represents an important step toward that opportunity. Players who participate in these events gain valuable exposure to the national team scouting network and may be considered for future identification events, national team training camps and, ultimately, selection to represent the United States at the international level.
