Isaac Ramirez
Isaac Ramirez, the youngest of 12 siblings, started playing with Phoenix Rising when he was just 6 years old. He has since emerged as a stand out player in youth soccer, particularly known for his astounding skills as a goalkeeper. With a keen sense of positioning and lightning-fast reflexes, Isaac possesses the needed ability to read his opponent, often outsmarting attackers before they make their move.
It isn’t just his skill and agility that are impressive, Isaac’s strategic thinking during high-pressure situations sets him apart from most youth athletes. He has rightly earned the reputation of being unbeatable in the goal. “I love 1v1 challenges and diving to make the saves,” Isaac says. “I want to be better than my older brothers and make them proud.”
Isaac draws inspiration from some of the world’s top goalkeepers, including Manuel Neuer, Alisson Becker, Courtois, and Ederson. He studies their techniques and strives to incorporate their moves into his own game. Isaac’s outstanding performance in several leagues and tournaments has often put him among the top goalkeepers in our region, while also earning recognition from coaches and teammates alike. He has been chosen to be a part of PRFC’s All Stars Weekend, the PRFC Center of Excellence, and Arizona’s ODP.
Coach’s and parents praise him, saying, “Isaac brings a level of focus and determination to every game that inspires the whole team to perform at their best.” However, Isaac is not just a skilled athlete on the field and in the goal, but also a great teammate, strong leader, and a dedicated student. Maintaining all A’s while balancing his rigorous soccer training is a testament to his discipline and focus.Looking ahead, Isaac hopes to continue developing his skills and potentially earn a scholarship to play soccer at a top-ranked university. We are all excited to see what the future holds for this very special 11 year old boy.
