Phoenix Rising FC Youth Soccer is proud to celebrate ECNL alumna Talia Coury, who has taken the next step in her soccer journey after recently signing a professional contract with Tigres UANL in Mexico.
Coury, a 2024 Phoenix Rising graduate, continued her playing career at Idaho State University, competing at the NCAA Division I level with the Bengals. She also gained experience in the USL W League with Minnesota Aurora FC, continuing her development at one of the highest levels of pre-professional women’s soccer in the United States.
Her journey has now taken her to the professional level with Tigres UANL, one of the premier women’s clubs in Mexico and a strong contender in Liga MX Femenil.
In addition to her success at the club level, Coury has represented Mexico on the international stage, earning multiple call-ups to Mexican Youth National Teams. Most recently, she was selected to the Mexico U20 Women’s National Team for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.
Coury and Mexico went on to capture the championship, defeating Colombia in the final to finish the tournament on top.
From her time competing in the ECNL with Phoenix Rising to NCAA Division I soccer, the USL W League, international competition and now the professional game, Coury’s journey is another example of where the Phoenix Rising player pathway can lead.
We are incredibly proud to see another Phoenix Rising alumna continue her career at the professional level and look forward to following Talia as she begins this exciting new chapter with Tigres UANL.
